The Interactive Web-based Budget/Spending Plan Tool is a practical and easy-to-use
online program to track income and expenses. The tool is also useful for planning
short and long-term financial goals.
"Have a budget and stick to it," is not helpful advice when there are no coaches,
resources or practical tools to support the willing individual's or family's efforts
to gain control over their finances. This interactive tool is practical, easy to use
and understand, and can be customized to help you see and manage your cash flow on a
monthly basis.
The Budget/Spending Plan tool sets up broad categories of "Income" and "Savings" in
revenues, for example; and "Housing," "Transportation," "Food," "Health,"
"Entertainment" etc. on the expense side. Within these broad categories are the
monthly spending items such as in "Housing:" utilities, mortgage payments, &
repairs. You can use this tool to track where money actually goes, as well as where
it needs to go based on choices. You can also use it to display a trial spending
plan based on how a new or additional payment or purchase affects the plan.
This tool is designed to assist you in managing personal finances. With easy to
follow steps (the input of income and expenses) you will be able to set up a budget
and track your personal spending as an individual or by household. The process of
budgeting and tracking your spending can assist you in the financial decision making
process.
